Our skilled mechanics, machinists and fabricators are capable of producing a wide range of sophisticated hardware, machined components, pressure vessels, structural steel and piping. SMM employees are experienced with working with all types of materials including the following:
SMM has placed a great deal of
emphasis on welding programs. All of our welders are
trained and certified to meet the requirements of ASME
and AWS as well as numerous customer standards. We have
also developed procedure and performance qualifications
to meet the rigid standards of the nuclear and
aerospace industries. Precision Machinery and Tooling
Each project is carefully planned,
analyzing quantities, materials and tolerances to
determine the machinery, processes and tooling to be
used. We routinely design and build job specific
tooling, dies, and forming fixtures, producing high
tolerance finished parts.
SMM has a superb design team
consisting of a licensed Mechanical Engineer and four

Experience has given us a wide range
of capabilities in producing equipment and machinery
for today's industries. From initial design to
production, assembly, operational testing, packaging
and shipping we have the knowledge and expertise to
deliver completed mechanical systems. We have
established a large base of vendors and subcontractors
to provide services and supplies from electrical design
and installation to special coatings. Quality Control & Certifications All of our personnel are dedicated to providing material, equipment, and services that meet the highest level of quality and workmanship. Our quality control program is in accordance with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration NHB 5300.4 (1c), NQA1, MIL-STD-45662 and MIL-I-45208A. The quality system monitors projects from the planning stage and follows to every aspect of the contract.

quality system for Fabrication (metals) and Machinery
(metals & polymers), including Material
Procurement, Component or Turnkey Equipment/Machinery
Manufacturing, Assembly, Testing, and Rebuild/Repair
that is in accordance with ISO 9002
specifications.
The management of SMM represents over
80 years of experience in the industry. Our management
team is highly involved at all levels of each project,
